Genera
The three genera of mangabeys are:
- Lophocebus, the crested mangabeys
- Rungwecebus, the highland mangabey (kipunji)
- Cercocebus, the white-eyelid mangabeys
Lophocebus and Cercocebus were once thought to be very closely related, so much so that all the species were in one genus. However, the species within genus Lophocebus are now thought to be more closely related to the baboons in genus Papio, while the species within genus Cercocebus are more closely related to the mandrill.
The single species in Rungwecebus was discovered recently.

gollark: The in-memory database is, however, really fast, it's fearlessly concurrent™, and it uses relatively high performance libraries.
gollark: For ease of implementation it uses an in-memory database which isn't hugely space-efficient. But I don't anticipate this using more than something like 10MB on Minoteaur-sized databases, and PHP/MW database backends (except SQLite) have more overhead than that anyway, as far as I know.
