Malkeet Rauni

Malkit Singh Rauni is a Punjabi actor and theater artist. He was born on November 8 in the village of Rani Khurd in Ropar district.[1] He graduated with a degree in theater. He is married to Gurpreet Kaur. He started his career on the TV in 2008 with the TV serial "Jugni Chali Jalandhar" and on Big Screen in 2009 with Punjabi Movie "Jag Jeondeyan De Mele". He has also acted in the Bollywood films "Sarabjit", "No Problem" and "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge".

Education

He passed his primary school from village Khera in Mohali district and graduated from village Khant Manpur, district Fatehgarh Sahib after completing 12th class at village Belan (Ropar). He started his theater group "Chetna Kala Manch" in Chamkaur Sahib.

Career

In the early days, he started with Alpha TV Punjabi serial “Sarhad”, and “Manjit Jagjit”. After that he acted in some popular Punjabi dramas like “Saude Dil De”, “Kach Diya Wanga”, “Akhiyan To Door Jai Na”, “Meet Mila De Rabba”, “Veera”, Sawdhan India”, “Mahabharat 2”, etc. Since then, while living in Mumbai, he has also acted in some Hindi films like "London Dreams", "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge", "Zuban", "No Problem", "Sarabjit", "Raja Abrodia" etc. He also acted in the story "Toba Tek Singh" written by famous writer Saadat Hassan Manto. He also acted in the Hollywood film "The Genius of Beauty". In Punjabi cinema, he acted in popular Punjabi films like Punjab 1984, Bambukat, Ardaas, Prahuna, Rocky Mental, Shadaa, Laawan phere, Daana Paani, Rabb Da Radio, Manje Bistre, Nikka Zaildar 2, Ardaas Karaan, etc.[2]
