Malee 2 (Aththamma)

Malee 2 also known as Aththamma is a 2013 Sri Lankan Ayurvedic teledrama and is the Second installment in the Malee TV series which aires in 2011-2012 broadcast on TV Derana. It follows the story of the Malee's daughter, Saradi who is separated from Malee and her bond with her grandmother Dingiri. This drama began airing from 18 March 2013 to 28 November 2014.

Plot

Following the previous story, Dingiri raises Malee's newborn daughter, Saradi for save her life from Ukkuwa's witchcraft. Malee gives her daughter to Muthu to adopt her until she turns 21 years old. Malee arrives to England with Nirmal. Muthu adopts Saradi as her own child with Dingiri's help. Because of that, everyone think that Saradi is Muthu's daughter.

8 years later

Saradi is now grows up and considers Muthu and Suranga as her parents. She also has wizarding powers and learns Ayurvedic from Dingiri. Sometimes, Malee calls and sends letters to her from England and Saradi calls her as Malee Nanda unaware that Malee is her biological mother. Nandipala lives with his wife and son named Raju who pranks Saradi. He practices witchcraft with his father, Ukkuwa.

One Day, Saradi meets an unconscious rich boy named Tharaka while she was walking in jungle. She brings him to Dingiri's house. While treating to him, Tharaka whispers the Ukkuwa and Nandipala's names. He tells that they are trying to kill him. Dingiri realises that Tharaka is a rebirth of Kusumsiri and advices his parents to protect him. However, Saradi and Tharaka become friends after that. Tharaka visits to London with his parents for study.

Some years later

Saradi is now all grown up and finishes her studies. She learns Ayurvedic medicine in home and uses her power to save people. Her ambition is become an ayrvedic doctor. One Day, Saradi hears a dialog between Dingiri and Muthu which about Saradi. In this time, Saradi learns that Malee and Nirmal are her real parents who gives her to Muthu for 21 years because of Ukkuwa's witchcraft. Saradi gets deeply shocked and decides live with Muthu while take revenge from Ukkuwa.

Meanwhile, Ukkuwa dies as a result of his unhealthy condition. Saradi meets Tharaka after years and soon they fallen in love for each other. Tharaka's mother who doesn't like their relationship, insults Dingiri and Ayurvedic. But, Soon, She falls into a coma. Even the Doctors disable to recover her. However, Saradi recovers her using her power and Ayurvedic knowledge. After that, Everyone realises about the value of Ayurvedic. Then, Tharaka's mother realises her mistake and apologises from Saradi and Dingiri. Saradi and Tharaka unites and Saradi goes to medical college for further studies.

Meanwhile, Nandipala's son, Raju gets shooted and dies unfortunately while he was catched to police for a robbery case. Nandipala gets shocked and leaves from village. Now, Dingiri who is grows old realises that her end is come. Finally, Dingiri gives her Ayurvedic books to temple and leaves from home.
