Makioka, Yamanashi

Makioka (牧丘町, Makioka-chō) was a town located in Higashiyamanashi District, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 5,797 and a density of 56.92 persons per km². The total area was 101.85 km².

History

On March 22, 2005, Makioka, along with the village of Mitomi (also from Higashiyamanashi District), was merged into the expanded city of Yamanashi.

gollark: They don't seem to want to *ban* end-to-end encryption as much as backdoor the popularly used stuff. Which is still bad. I should finish writing that blog post on it some time this decade.
gollark: It's probably with consent to the extent that *any* social media apps do, i.e. "the long incomprehensible privacy policy says we can".
