Madahar or "Marahar" are mainly found in the Punjab state of India, though some of them are found in the states of Rajasthan and Haryana as well.

Distribution
Most of their villages are situated in Malwa region of the present day Punjab of India. Some of their villages are Gosslaan, Ballamgarh, Amargarh, Ghanaur, Bamaal, Jahangir, Jattimajra, Badrukhan, Bhadalwad, Issi, Kakarwal and Dhuri Town in Sangrur district, Gaggarwal and Latour in Fatehgarh Sahib district. Madahars are also found in Kaithal district of Haryana. There are many Madahar villages in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan which are yet to be documented. Some of those were migrated to Punjab, Pakistan in 1947.
