MIT Enterprise Forum

The MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) through MIT Technology Review. The organization has headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. MITEF has chapters in major cities in the U.S. and worldwide.[1]

MITEF runs a range of events and programs targeted to help early-stage entrepreneurs, promote innovative technology to the general public.[2][3][4]

History

The MIT Enterprise Forum was founded in 1978 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Originally several entrepreneurs with MIT background decided informally help each other with their business plans. These gatherings showed value and the group named themself "the MIT Enterprise Forum".[5] Today MIT Enterprise Forum is a national non-profit organization which has 28 chapters in US and around the world. This network is managed by Technology Review, a media company with global readership of approximately 2.6 million.[6]

gollark: My laptop has Kaby Lake, and I'm pretty happy with it. Mostly because it's a very cheap used one, but it works decently and with Intel's thermal daemon thing isn't even horribly loud.
gollark: They're releasing Comet Lake and Ice Lake at the same time both under the 10th gen label. It's kind of confusing.
gollark: But they have comparatively good graphics.
gollark: Oh, they are mobile chips.
gollark: And Ice Lake apparently has very good (for an integrated GPU) graphics performance.
