M. Vaithianathan
M. Vaithianathan is an Indian politician and former Member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from the Lawspet constituency. He won that constituency with 10189 votes in 2011 election against V. P. Sivakolundhu of Congress with a majority of 5432 votes.[1] He represented the All India N.R Congress party. In 2016 assembly election, he has been denied ticket from AINRC party.[2][3] He then contested independently but lost to V. P. Sivakolundhu placing himself second in the constituency on poll count.[4]
