Lucy Fradkin

Lucy Fradkin (born 1953)[1] is an American self-taught artist from New York who paints portraits which often include collage elements. She is inspired by Persian and Indian miniature paintings with bright palettes and flattened space[2] as well as the ancient frescoes and mosaics of Etruria, Rome, and Byzantium.[3] In addition, she visited the Brooklyn Museum as a young artist with her mother and got inspiration from The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago which still influences her works.[4]

gollark: Why? Because I'm impatient and fogging my stuff when it gets 1500 views is nicer than waiting ages for eggs to hatch.
gollark: I use hatchling club, AOND, draghatch, silvi's lair, valley sherwood, and occasionally egg drop soup.
gollark: Wait, it's spelt desipis?!
gollark: I mean, I guess so.
gollark: And also kind of annoyed that TJ09 never bothers to announce anything.
