Lower Sava Valley dialect

The Lower Sava Valley dialect (posavsko narečje,[1] posavščina[2]) is a Slovene dialect in the Styrian dialect group, bordering on the Lower Carniolan dialect group. It is spoken in the Sava Valley from Litija to Brežice and along the lower course of the Savinja River. It is divided into three subdialects: the Zagorje-Trbovlje subdialect, Laško subdialect, and Sevnica-Krško subdialect.[3]

Phonological and morphological characteristics

The Lower Sava Valley dialect predominantly shares features with the Lower Carniolan dialects but does not have pitch accent.[3] Its transitional nature is shown by its older Lower Carniolan vocalic features overlaid by more recent Styrian features.[4]

gollark: But most war is not actually melee combat now.
gollark: Obviously you can probably do... bigger muscles, or something, just remove myostatin, but I don't think that's very useful in modern warfare.
gollark: How would you actually do that? What traits would make soldiers significantly better, and are actually mostly genetic (and easily editable)?
gollark: I think that would imply that you actually mix the genes (and fairly evenly).
gollark: You probably wouldn't *actually* make your catpeople cat/human hybrids, you'd just give them a few cat traits.
