Lorraine is a western suburb of Port Elizabeth situated in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.

Location

Lorraine is about 14 kilometres west of the Port Elizabeth city centre and is situated on the western outskirts of the city.[3]

Lorraine is bordered by Weybridge Park, Woodlands, Beverley Grove and Kamma Ridge to the north, Fairview to the east, Theesecombe and Lovemore Heights in the south and Kamma Park in west.[4]

It is situated about 5 kilometers south of the N2 highway and has access to many other metropolitan routes in Port Elizabeth such as the M7 (Circular Drive) and M15 (Kragga Kamma Road).[5]

Shopping

There are two shopping centers in Lorraine which include the Garden Centre, east of Lorraine on the M17 (also named Circular Drive) and the Kamma Crossing, west of Lorraine on Verdun Road. Lorraine is also near Port Elizabeth's largest shopping centre, Baywest Mall and is about 6 km south-west of the mall.[15][16][17][18]

Wildlife

Lorraine's location on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth means it is near wildlife. It is near the Kragga Kamma Game Park and the Seaview Game and Lion Park.[19]
