Long Live Belarus!

Long Live Belarus! (Belarusian: Жыве Беларусь!, romanized: Žyvie Bielarus'!) is a Belarusian patriotic motto widely used by members of the Belarusian democratic and nationalist opposition.

The motto is aimed at awakening the national civil sense, the consolidation of the Belarusian people for freedom and independence of their country, language, all the national culture.[1]

The motto takes the origins of the rebel movement 1863-1864. [2]

It is displayed on the logo of a major state-owned newspaper, Narodnaya Gazeta. On the other hand, there have been cases of opposition activists being arrested for publicly calling out the motto at demonstrations.[3][4][5]
