Long Distance Hurdle

The Long Distance Hurdle is a Grade 2 National Hunt hurdle race in Great Britain which is open to horses aged four years or older. It is run at Newbury over a distance of about 3 miles (3 miles and 52 yards, or 4,876 metres), and during its running there are twelve hurdles to be jumped. The race is scheduled to take place each year in late November or early December.

gollark: Except in Scotland, where you apply to a department and have more flexibility but also an extra year in university.
gollark: That is also not how universities here work. You apply to a course, and do that, and can maybe transfer but it's hard.
gollark: I am not in "America". We do A-levels here.
gollark: I have a rough idea. I don't know enough to narrow it down beyond physics/maths/CS/engineering.
