List of Super Senior episodes
MediaCorp Channel 8's television series Super Senior is a family drama series produced by MediaCorp Singapore in 2015. This show is about a group of golden-agers who find renewed meaning to their lives in their golden years and reach out to pursue their dreams, bringing light to the people around them.
As of 15 July 2015, all 20 episodes of Super Senior have been aired on MediaCorp Channel 8.[1]

Singapore is one of the top ten rapidly ageing countries in the world. By 2030, one in four people will be over the age of 60. We are ageing every day. The more you fight it, the ominously closer it appears. Topic of the day: Are you scared of growing old? (你会怕老吗？) Zhu Xiangdong (Zhu Houren), who is 60, is a philanderer. His wife, Yu Fang (Xiang Yun), puts up with him and finds meaning in life by doing charity work. At the bread shop, Yu Fang argues with Guan Qiming (Yao Wenlong), whose cigarette butt nearly burns her. Wang Dali (Wang Yuqing) goes to her rescue. Qiming lets Dali off when two police officers pass by. Since his retirement, Chen Yalai (Chen Shucheng) has been working as a security guard at the condominium where Xiangdong lives. His son, Chen Guotai (Rayson Tan), is incapable and his daughter-in-law, Ivy (Vivian Lai), is always eyeing his money. His daughter, Chen Anxin (Jayley Woo), who is a nurse, is a challenge for him to handle, too. Ivy finds Yalai's bank passbook in his room and finds out he has more than $50,000 in his account. She wants to go for botox jabs, and asks Guotai to borrow money from his father. Anxin suspects someone is stalking her. She raises her handbag to hit the person, who turns out to be Dong Haoyuan (Aloysius Pang), a new doctor at the hospital. Anxin consoles Haoyuan when he is scolded by his senior. Yalai goes to Guanghui (Henry Thia)'s fried kway teow stall with an egg and asks for two plates of fried kwau teow. Guanghui's wife, Caiyun (Hong Huifang), is well aware Yalai is a miser. She cuts back on the ingredients in his order. Guotai leaves in a huff when his father refuses to lend him $2,000. Yalai quarrels with Caiyun over the downsized food and pushes her. She falls and has to be hospitalized. Anxin is thrilled that Haoyuan is interested in her. Yu Fang is unhappy when a drunk Xiangdong brings Janet home. Qiming turns up to create trouble again, and tries to hit Yu Fang. | |||

Topic of the day: Can you rely on men? (男人可以依靠吗？) Qiming is arrested when Xiangdong returns to the shop. Yu Fang takes the injured Dali to the hospital. He is concerned Qiming will create trouble again. Lamenting that Xiangdong has never been true to her, Yu Fang makes plans to buy a retirement unit for herself. Dali vows to take care of her. She comments that even though he and Xiangdong are cousins, they are vastly different in character. Guanghui is uptight about Caiyun’s surgery and wants to become a monk to accumulate merit for her. Haoyuan urges his father not to be rash, as she will be fine and will need his care. Yalai learns Caiyun has been hospitalised. Guanghui cries tears of joy when he learns the surgery has been successful and Caiyun will be able to move after some physiotherapy sessions. Dali asks Xiangdong to run the breadshop for a week, but he would rather shut down the shop temporarily. Xiangdong buys a designer bag for Janet, but uses Yu Fang as an excuse when Janet asks for a diamond necklace. | |||

Topic of the day: Is it easier to meet than to get along? (相见容易相处难？) To Yalai's relief, Caiyun is discharged from the hospital. He makes it clear he will not pay her compensation. Guanghui mediates. Yalai is puzzled when Caiyun tells him to warn his daughter not to harass her son. When he realizes Haoyuan is the guy who wants to court Anxin, he sneers Caiyun. Offended, she declares that Haoyuan is a doctor and Anxin is not good enough for him. Guanghui is caught between them as they bicker. Anxin tells Yalai she and Haoyuan are merely friends and he need not worry. Haoyuan also assures Caiyun that Anxin is only a friend. He suggests Guanghui complains about the cost of medical care, and Haoyuan suggests buying Medishield and Medishield Life. Ivy is incensed when Dingding hurts her head at the playground. Ranting at Yalai, she asserts that she can make him move out of the house, as she and Guotai are the owners. He vows never to do so, and she threatens to leave with Dingding and sleep in the streets. | |||

Topic of the day: Will you buy studio apartments? (你会买乐龄公寓吗？) Yalai is at the void deck of the senior citizens’ block when he notices someone needing aid. He lends a helping hand and absent-mindedly leaves the ash urn he was carrying behind. When he turns back, the bag containing it is gone. To worsen matters, he discovers Guotai had bought second-hand appliances for his unit and lied to him. Yalai’s neighbour, Jin Huixi (Jin Yin Ji), had picked up his bag. She greets him, but he is too despondent to respond. Huixi teaches Korean language and culture at the community centre. Dali and Yu Fang are her students. Dali tries in vain to persuade Yu Fang to forgive Xiangdong, who stands her ground. Dali warns Xiangdong that he has to try his best to change Yu Fang's mind. Huixi and Yu Fang make kimchi together. She takes out the urn she had picked up for Yu Fang to store the kimchi in, and is shocked to find ashes inside. Yalai notices Huixi with the urn and accuses her of taking the money he had hidden inside. | |||

Topic of the day: Will you get a divorce when you are old? (老了还会离婚吗？) When interrogated, Ivy finally admits the money is Yalai's. She had tailed him on the day he left home and taken the money when he left the bag containing the urn behind. However, she refuses to return the money. She chases Anxin out when the latter tells her off. Yalai tells Yu Fang the money he saved was supposed to be for Anxin’s wedding and Dingding’s education. Guotai is guilt-stricken. Anxin assures Yalai he will get the money back. Fugui's (Richard Low) gambling habit has cost him a few houses. Guanghui and Caiyun urge him to stop, but he is not worried, as he still has the coffeeshop. Haoyuan and Guanghui try to persuade Caiyun to let Anxin move into their house. On her part, Anxin goes all out to get into Caiyun's good books. Guotai manages to take $20,000 back from Ivy. He uses Fugui’s housing deposit to make up the remaining amount, and asks Yu Fang to return the $30,000 to his father. | |||

Topic of the day: Will you worry about your children after you raise them? (养儿一百岁长忧九十九？) Guotai needs money to repay Fugui. He approaches Yalai, who is angry enough to chase him away. When Huixi speaks up for Guotai, Yalai ignores her. Caiyun flares up when Haoyuan offers to help Anxin do her laundry. Haoyuan finds himself caught between his mother and his girlfriend in matters big and small. Dali senses something amiss when Xiangdong insists on taking Pink (Sheila Tan) to the clinic personally. Xiangdong sees Pink home after going to the clinic and even puts the medicine in honey, so that she can take it easily. Pink is moved by his concern. Xiangdong goes out with Victor and Simon, who both bring dates along, and is bored. Huixi tells Yu Fang about Yalai and asserts that Yu Fang is lucky not to have to worry about children. She keeps silent when Yu Fang asserts that she too is childless. Yalai is unhappy with Huixi for telling Yu Fang about his troubles with Guotai. | |||

Topic of the day: Is the old better than the young? (真的老不如少？) Xiangdong and Pink panic when Yu Fang turns up at the door. Xiangdong manages to run out of the house undetected and is annoyed when Decong (Jeremy Chan) takes pictures of his disheveled look. Decong tells Xiangdong off for betraying Yu Fang when she has been so good to him. He refuses to delete the pictures, but agrees not to say anything for Yu Fang’s sake. Xiangdong finds himself comparing Yu Fang to Pink and feels that his wife does not measure up. Yu Fang goes through Xiangdong’s mobile phone. She does not detect Pink's name, because he has saved her number under Ah Ping. Anxin whips up a romantic meal for Haoyuan. Caiyun returns home early and is incensed that Anxin has dirtied her kitchen. She slips and falls, and pulls a muscle. Caiyun complains to Guanghui that she would rather Haoyuan stay single than marry someone like Anxin. Decong tries to tell Anxin she has bird droppings on her hair and is hit by both Anxin and Yalai. | |||

Topic of the day: Is hip-hop dancing only for teenagers? (嘻哈舞蹈只属于年轻人吗？) Qiming blames Huixi for his plight. Everyone is shocked when they scold each other in Korean. Huixi threatens to call the police, and Qiming tries to snatch the mobile phone away. Fugui tells Qiming to inform Huo-ge he will repay the money and hopes Huo-ge will stop harassing him. Fugui tells Qiming to inform Huo-ge he will repay the money. He wants Huo-ge to stop harassing him. Qiming refuses to tell Fugui how he is related to Huixi, but asks for her address. Huixi tells Yu Fang that Qiming is her son. She was divorced when he was only 10. He lived with his gangster father and often got into trouble with the law. He moved in with her after his father’s death, but she threw him out when he refused to stay on the straight and narrow. Anxin watches as Haoyuan is scolded by Dr Tay for giving a wrong diagnosis again. She tries to console him and is peeved when he contemplates giving up medicine. | |||

Topic of the day: Can you die but not get sick? (可以死，不可以病？) Guotai is concerned when he reads the text message Yalai has left him, urging him to take care of his family after his departure. He rushes to the latter's flat with Ivy and Anxin. Huixi hears them knocking on the door and is told that Yalai had attempted suicide. Just then, Yalai returns home and scolds his children for trying to break his door. Guotai, Ivy and Anxin are incensed when Yalai asserts that he had sent the message to test if they care about him. Yalai gets upset and refuses to consult a doctor for his ailment. Huixi tells Anxin and Guotai off for neglecting Yalai. In their defence, Ivy insists Huixi does not know Yalai well enough to understand how difficult he can be. Decong has to stand in for Pink at the shop on her day off. While getting ready to practice the hip-hop routine with Dali, Yu Fang learns Xiangdong has gone to play golf. Qiming makes Fugui pay him another $1000 and demands, yet again, to know where Huixi lives. | |||

Topic of the day: Are you willing to be surrounded by men? (男人，你愿意被包吗？) Guotai swims with his client, Cindy, at the club and offers to arrange viewing of other property. She offers to buy up all the units she has viewed if he agrees to keep her company. Insulted, he declares he will not betray his principles in such a manner. Fugui scolds Guotai for not selling his unit. When he learns of Cindy's offer, he tells Guotai off for being stupid to reject such a good deal. Guotai thanks Fugui for his help and finds out the money was from Yalai. Huixi is moved when Qiming prepares seaweed soup for her on his birthday and places it at her door. Seeing as he is ill, she allows him to move in with her until he has recovered. Qiming tells the youngsters off for issuing a challenge to Huixi and the other elders. However, Huixi scolds him for interfering. She and her team earn cheers for their creative performance. Guotai decides to accept Cindy’s proposal. He returns $10,000 to Yalai and gives him another $10,000. Yalai refuses to accept the money. | |||

Topic of the day: Will you sleep with a dead partner? (你会‘伴尸’吗？) Anxin goes to the stall after work. Told that Guanghui and Caiyun have not shown up, she is about to look into the situation when Decong harasses her. Anxin finds Caiyun at home. Caiyun tells her not to make too much noise, as Guanghui is taking a nap because of a cold. She refuses to let Anxin go into her room. Anxin assumes everything is fine because Caiyun carries food in to Guanghui and keeps talking to him. Ivy boasts to Jenny and Mandy that Guotai has been closing many deals and they will move into a condominium soon. The three ladies watch as Cindy buys a $38,000 manicure package and are envious. Coincidentally, Ivy sees Guotai picking Cindy up in a luxurious car. Pink faints in the shop and subsequently finds out she is pregnant. She bursts into tears when Yu Fang shows his concern. Xiangdong is happy to learn he is about to become a father. He talks Pink out of aborting the baby and promises to find a perfect solution. Guotai goes overseas with Cindy. | |||

Topic of the day: What do you do if your partner passed away? (伴侣过世怎么办？) Unable to accept Guanghui’s death, Caiyun has kept him in their room all this time. When Anxin exposes her, she gives her a slap. Caiyun passes out when Haoyuan returns. Yu Fang tries hard to console Caiyun. Decong and Pink are distressed when Dali orders them to register their marriage. Xiangdong urges Pink to keep the baby. He is sure Yu Fang will divorce him when she learns the truth after the baby is born. Yalai takes in a stray dog and brings it home. He sees Qiming in Huixi’s house and assumes he is her boyfriend. Huixi reprimands Qiming for scolding Yalai and warns him not to offend Yalai. Xiangdong attends Guanghui’s funeral and comments that having a doctor at home is useless, as Haoyuan did not even know his father was ill. Caiyun overhears his words and glares at Haoyuan for ignoring Guanghui’s earlier complaints about not feeling well. Haoyuan blames himself and questions if he should remain a doctor. Qiming asks for a job at the coffeeshop and is unhappy with Fugui’s offer of $50 a day. He tries to steal Yalai’s money and is caught. Huixi wants to call the police, but Yalai stops her. Topic of the day: What do you do if your partner has an extramarital affair? (兔子偷吃窝边草，怎么办？) Yu Fang is stunned to learn that the father of Pink’s baby is Xiangdong. At the hospital, Xiangdong finds out the baby is safe. He is relieved. Dali interrogates him, and he explains that he was unfaithful to his wife because he wanted a child. He promises to find a solution to the problem. Dali returns to the shop and hits Decong for being in cahoots with Xiangdong. Pink apologises to Yu Fang and explains that she had wanted to abort the baby, but could not make herself do so because Xiangdong yearned for a child. Caiyun goes to the coffeeshop every day and orders two cups of coffee before sitting down in front of the kway teow stall. Though she does not open the stall for business, she pays the rent. She tells Fugui not to bother her. Fugui takes Caiyun gambling and is shocked by her reaction. He advises Haoyuan and Anxin to keep an eye on her. Guotai returns from his trip with presents for Ivy and Dingding. He gives excuses when showed the pictures of him with Cindy. Ivy sees Guotai going into Cindy’s villa. She does not dare expose the affair, as she does not have the means to be independent. Pink is moved by Xiangdong’s concern for her. Yu Fang needs surgery to remove a cyst. While at the hospital, she spots Huixi with a medical report. Huixi eventually lets Qiming into her house again. Yu Fang insists on a divorce. | |||

Topic of the day: Is being together really a blessing? (齐人之福，真的是福？) Yu Fang is angry with Xiangdong for wanting to keep their marriage and yet carry on with Pink. She threatens to sue him for adultery if he refuses to sign the divorce papers. Dali tells Xiangdong off for being irresponsible, but the latter claims he is trying his best to please both Yu Fang and Pink. Guotai returns the money to Yalai and claims he has made several deals. He feels hurt when Yalai urges him to save the money for Dingding’s education, or Dingding will end up as useless as him. Ivy confirms that Guotai has been unfaithful, but puts up with it and aims to win him over. Dr Tay tells Haoyuan off for asking patients to undergo extra tests. Haoyuan explains that he does not want his father's experience to be repeated. When Dr Tay continues to be critical, Haoyuan considers resigning. Haoyuan fries kway teow for Caiyun and tells his mother he may want to man the stall and end his career as a doctor. She objects. Anxin lies that Haoyuan is just taking no-pay leave for the time being until they find someone for the stall. Yalai tells Haoyuan off for selling fried kway teow instead of being a doctor. Ivy flares up when Cindy turns up at her house and slaps her. Guotai decides to move out. Huixi, Yu Fang, Caiyun, Yalai and Dali join a scuba-diving class together. Topic of the day: Can you accept twilight love? (你能接受黄昏之恋吗？) Decong is peeved with Dali for not being courageous. However, when Dali finally declares his love for Yu Fang, she asserts that she has lost a husband and does not want to lose a good friend-cum-brother as well. Fugui keeps making mistakes on the set when he meets Yuzhen, who resembles his wife. Yuzhen tells him that her parents divorced when she was five and she went to America with her mother. Her mother died 10 years ago and she is in Asia on a work-study trip. Fugui remembers how he had spent all his time acting and scuba-diving. His wife could not tolerate being neglected and left. Guotai visits Dingding in school. He gives her $100 to buy snacks and also asks him to hand $1000 to Ivy. Unexpectedly, Ivy shows up, and throws the money back at Guotai. Unable to find a job, Ivy worries about her livelihood. Dingding suggests they borrow money from Yalai. Guotai turns up at Yalai’s place. He worries that Ivy will tell Yalai what he has done. When told what's been going on, Yalai lashes out at him, as well as Ivy. Caiyun and Yu Fang ask Fugui to be their diving instructor. Huixi feels faint and claims she is a little anaemic. Qiming teaches Ivy how to con others of their money and tries to seduce her. Decong encourages Dali to express his feelings for Yu Fang again. | |||

Topic of the day: Quit being a doctor to become a hawker? (医生不当，当小贩？) Dali is overjoyed when Yu Fang agrees to give him a chance. Ivy thanks Yalai for the money he gave Dingding. Yalai tells her off for crying all the time and asserts that if she is so weak, she can never defeat Cindy. He also urges her to change her ways and stop being so domineering towards Guotai. Yalai refuses to give Ivy any more money. Qiming offers to find Ivy a job at a massage parlour. The lady boss, Emily, set up the business after her husband had an affair. Emily assumes Ivy is Qiming’s girlfriend and learns that Ivy is in the same dire straits as her and even has a daughter to feed. Ivy meets Cindy on her first day at work and has to wash the latter’s feet for her. She is kicked by Cindy when she uses too much force while scrubbing her feet. Ivy puts up with it when Cindy gives her a $100 tip in front of Guotai. Ivy takes Dingding out for fried chicken and urges her to study well. Yu Fang agrees to let Pink move in while Pink’s house is being renovated. Xiangdong does not believe that Yu Fang is dating Dali. Caiyun chases Anxin out, as she assumes it was Anxin who influenced Haoyuan to quit. Yalai agrees to take care of Dingding when Ivy is at work. Anxin hits Guotai when she learns what he is doing. Fugui acknowledges Yuzhen and hopes to do well for his daughter. | |||

Topic of the day: Is getting dementia the end of the world? (失智症等于世界末日？) Dali is shocked when he wets his bed. He finds out that a blood clot in the brain causes mental deterioration, which may leave him in a state of dementia. He worries that he will become a burden to Yu Fang, but she does not mind. Haoyuan urges Caiyun to pull herself together and get over Guanghui’s death. She tells him to return to being a doctor and fulfill her wish. He cannot understand why she insists, when all he wants is to manage Guanghui’s stall. Anxin encourages Haoyuan to return to work at the hospital. When he lashes out at her for wanting to date a doctor instead of a hawker, she is hurt, and decides to break up with him. Fugui finds it difficult to get into his character in the new movie. Yuzhen gives him encouragement. Yu Fang and the others also lend moral support. Yu Fang tells Xiangdong to bake the bread by himself, as she wants to go out with Dali. Xiangdong is incensed when he finds out Dali has been in love with Yu Fang for a long time. Qiming discovers Dingding has been stealing from the mini-mart. He warns her not to do so again. Cindy turns up at the massage parlour to pick on Ivy. When Guotai arrives to fetch Cindy, Qiming pretends to be intimate with Ivy and tries to take revenge on Ivy’s behalf, but gets her into trouble instead. Dingding views an online video of how Ivy was bullied and is disheartened. Dr Tay advises Haoyuan to learn from his mistakes and work harder. | |||

Topic of the day: What is more important, life or money? (生命，还是金钱重要？) Yu Fang arranges for the class to go scuba-diving in Tioman after they have passed the test. Everyone makes preparations for the trip. Yalai tells his late wife he hopes to go on the trip, as he was too busy to do so when he was younger. However, he continues to fret over his useless son and daughter. Caiyun buys a suitcase and packs her things, including a picture of Guanghui. She tells Haoyuan she is going on a trip with Yu Fang. Dali prepares everything Yu Fang will need for the trip. She is moved. She has drawn up a will to divide her assets between Dali and Xiangdong’s baby. On his part, Dali has willed his assets to Yu Fang and Decong. Fugui tells his daughter his new movie will premiere soon and that he is planning to visit her in America after his Tioman trip. Haoyuan finds out Anxin has been learning how to fry kway teow, so that she can take over the stall while he returns to being a doctor. This has the effect of adding more stress to his life. Ivy asks Yalai to dinner at her place, and even gives him pocket money. Guotai finds out through a text message from Yalai that the latter has left on a trip. Qiming realises Huixi is dying of cancer. Meanwhile, Haoyuan learns that Caiyun does not intend to return. Yu Fang and the others arrive in Tioman. Unable to get through to their mobile phones, their families worry that the group is about to commit a mass suicide. | |||

Topic of the day: If you have only 5 minutes left in your life, what are your wishes? (如果只剩下5分钟生命，你有什么心愿？) Xiangdong finds out Pink has disobeyed him and gone to pick shells from the beach. He scolds her. Pink gets so worked up that she develops contractions. Haoyuan, Anxin and Qiming turn up at a tip from Decong. Haoyuan helps deliver Pink’s baby. Qiming tells Huixi off for going on the trip instead of getting treatment. Huixi asserts that her only wish is to see Qiming earn a decent living and she is afraid her wish will not be fulfilled before she dies. Caiyun is proud when Yu Fang and Fugui praise Haoyuan for helping with the baby’s delivery. Yalai proudly announces that Haoyuan is his son-in-law. The seniors set off to dive while their families wait on shore. Caiyun wraps Guanghui’s picture in plastic and takes it with her; she wants to let him see the beautiful seabed as well. She attempts suicide, but changes her mind when she remembers Haoyuan. Guotai tells Ivy not to work if it is too tiring. She says she feels happier earning her own money. Yalai returns home and chases Guotai away. Dingding is at risk of being expelled for stealing money. Ivy is upset. Haoyuan returns to the hospital to work, while Anxin and Caiyun man the stall. Caiyun proposes to Anxin on Haoyuan’s behalf. Qiming finally earns some money honestly and buys a bowl of congee for Huixi before she dies. | |||

Topic of the day: Are you afraid of death? (你怕死吗？) Yu Fang and the others lay flowers on the beach for Huixi. Yalai laments that he is lonely without Huixi to bicker with him. Afraid he would really make his way to America to see her, Yuzhen calls Fugui and tells him that she is not Tingting. She had lied to help him pull himself together. He is disappointed. Nonetheless, he decides to visit Yuzhen in America anyway. Xiangdong is exhausted tending to his baby all day. He complains that the toys and pacifiers seem to disappear all the time. Yu Fang discovers that Dali has taken everything to his room and is even forcing Decong to use the pacifier. She worries about Dali’s condition.Guotai goes to the massage parlour to peek at Ivy. Cindy discovers him and sneers at Ivy. She has found a new boyfriend and has decided to dump Guotai. Guotai hopes Ivy will forgive him. Qiming begs Yu Fang to hire him as an apprentice. Even though Huixi is dead, he is bent on keeping his promise. Xiangdong chases Pink away when she falls in love with the bakery’s new worker. He tries to reconcile with Yu Fang, but she is unwilling. Xiangdong reverts to flirting around again, but with a baby in tow, no woman is interested in him. Dali undergoes surgery. Yu Fang is overjoyed when he comes round.
