- Yashwant Vithoba Chittal (1928-2014) - Kannada fiction writer
- Milind Chittal is an Indian classical vocalist. Chittal is the son of Kannada writer Yashwant Chittal. He trained under Firoz Dastur of the Kirana Gharana. He is also a qualified chartered accountant.
- Gangadhar Vithoba Chittal (1923–1987) - Kannada poet and recipient of Karnataka Sahitya Academy award. He was the elder brother of Kannada writer Yashwant Vithoba Chittal. He held several administrative positions for the Government of India and audited several Indian Embassies and Consulates
