Biography
Peoples Wagner is originally from Brown Deer, Wisconsin.[1] After attending Buena Vista University in Iowa, she started an internship at Teen Vogue.[2] She later held an assistant position within the company.[3] She left Teen Vogue to work for The Cut, a publication of New York Magazine, as a fashion editor.[2][4] During her time at The Cut, she wrote a "celebrated" article on what it is like to be black in fashion, interviewing 100 people in the business.[1][5] In October 2018, she became the Editor in Chief of Teen Vogue, making her the youngest, as well as the third African-American, editor in chief of a Condé Nast publication.[1][6]
Recognition
In 2017 Peoples Wagner was awarded a ASME Next Award.[2][7] In 2020 Peoples Wagner was included in the Forbes 30 under 30 in Media.[8]
