Career

Since making his professional debut on 19 October 2007 - when Pirates went on the rampage, beating Bloemfontein Celtic 3–0 in an ABSA Premiership game - Mkhwanazi has been outstanding. The fact that he has so far featured in six of the club's 11 games speaks volume as the Owen Da Gama coached side has a number of talented midfielders.

Mkhwanazi's achievements with Pirates while he was still in their development structures includes representing the country in the finals of the Nike Premier Cup last year in England after his club beat Supersport United 4-3 on penalties back at home.

International career

Mkhwanazi has been competing at an international level with the Under-23 Olympic team since 2004.[1]

gollark: I wonder if we'll get a surprise Belter probe eventually.
