Biography

Linda L. Richards was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and reared in Vancouver, Los Angeles, California, and Munich, Germany. She founded January Magazine in 1997 as an experiment in Web technologies in support of the computer books she was writing at that time. The actor Michael Karl Richards is her son.[2] She lives in Vancouver.

In 2010 she was awarded The Panik Award (in honor of the late Paul Anik) for the best Los Angeles Noir for Death Was in the Picture.

In 2019 she was awarded The Arthur Ellis Award for best short story for "Terminal City" which appeared in Vancouver Noir.
