Lilodh
Lilodh is a village in Kosli Tehsil, Rewari district in the state of Haryana in India, which is mostly famous for providing many members to the defence service.The youth here takes pride in it. One person from every other house of Lilodh is in defence service, which is the pride of this village.The other matter of pride about this village is that it contributed a large number of Sanskrit teachers(Shastri) ,especially from the older generation to the country’s education system.

This is the famous temple for the worship of Lord Shiva (Bholenath). Fair is held here twice every year on the occasion of Shivratri in the month of February and July. There is an ancient story related with this temple. According to the old generation, about 60 years ago Lord Shiva's Shivling discovered by a local Seth(Bania). The Bania and his wife lived in a nearby village (Ladayan). Many years passed away of their marriage but they had not children. They were worried of this problem. For the solution, they visit many pastrol doctors and Saint, but they got nothing except disappointment. Once a random day, they met a renowned Saint. He told them a solution by which they can fulfill their wishes. He told them about the place in Lilodh where Lord Shiva was present in the form of a big stone. After that they decided to go there and made decision searching of Lord Shiva. Within one week they started their search. They constantly involved in their work, but after hard efforts they couldn't find the expected result. They gave up and sat down. Then Bholenath showed his glory and a miracle happened there. They decided to make the search again. They had searched everywhere except bushes. Then, they went to the bushes and started searching. Suddenly his eyes felt on the stone of which small part was above the earth surface (land). At this seen his eyes started twinkling. They started to dig around the stone. They dug about four to five feet but couldn't found the root of stone. Actually, that was not a stone but the Shivling in which Lord Shiva was present. The Bania wanted to build a temple at that place, but the owner of that land declined his request. The landlord tried to pull out the Shivling from the land, but his every attempt had unsuccessful. Both of his ox gave up and felt down on the land. Also the son of the landlord got blind on the next day without any accidental reason. He realised his mistake and wrong steps then he apologized to God(Lord Shiva). He permitted Bania to build a temple at that place. Then the Bania started the construction and built a small temple. Bania and his wife visited temple every Monday and made worship with true heart. After an year they got a child(with sharp mind). He brought the first 'Kawad' for Bholenath. Seeing this, many people started bringing 'Kawad', due to which this temple became famous as Baba Bhola. Whoever worships here with all of their heart, all of their wishes are fulfill. Fair is held here twice every year on the occasion of Shivratri. Thousands of people come here for worship on Shivratri. You must also visit this temple once and look for its beauty. This temple makes faith of existence of God.

यह भगवान शिव (भोलेनाथ) की पूजा के लिए प्रसिद्ध मंदिर है। फरवरी और जुलाई के महीने में शिवरात्रि के अवसर पर हर साल दो बार यहां मेला लगता है। इस मंदिर से जुड़ी एक प्राचीन कहानी है। पुरानी पीढ़ी के अनुसार, लगभग 60 साल पहले भगवान शिव के शिवलिंग की खोज एक स्थानीय सेठ (बनिया) ने की थी। बनिया और उसकी पत्नी पास के एक गाँव (लाडायन) में रहते थे। उनकी शादी को कई साल बीत गए लेकिन उनके बच्चे नहीं हुए। वे इस समस्या से चिंतित थे। समाधान के लिए, वे कई देहाती डॉक्टरों और संतों से मिलने जाते हैं, लेकिन उन्हें निराशा के अलावा कुछ नहीं मिला। एक बार एक यादृच्छिक दिन, वे एक प्रसिद्ध संत से मिले। उसने उन्हें एक उपाय बताया जिसके द्वारा वे अपनी इच्छाओं को पूरा कर सकते हैं। उसने उन्हें लीलोढ में उस स्थान के बारे में बताया जहां भगवान शिव एक बड़े पत्थर के रूप में मौजूद थे। उसके बाद उन्होंने वहां जाने का फैसला किया और भगवान शिव की खोज करने का निर्णय लिया। एक सप्ताह के भीतर उन्होंने अपनी खोज शुरू कर दी। वे लगातार अपने काम में लगे रहे, लेकिन कड़ी मेहनत के बाद भी वे अपेक्षित परिणाम नहीं पा सके। वे हार मान कर बैठ गए। तब भोलेनाथ ने अपनी महिमा दिखाई और एक चमत्कार हुआ। उन्होंने फिर से खोज करने का फैसला किया। उन्होंने झाड़ियों को छोड़कर हर जगह खोजा था। फिर, वे झाड़ियों में गए और खोज शुरू की। अचानक उसकी नजर पास गडे पत्थर के हिस्से पर पड़ी, जिसका छोटा सा हिस्सा पृथ्वी की सतह (भूमि) के ऊपर था। यह देखते ही उसकी आँखो में चमक आ गई। वे पत्थर के चारों ओर खुदाई करने लगे। उन्होंने लगभग चार से पांच फीट खोदा लेकिन पत्थर की जड़ नहीं मिली। दरअसल, वह पत्थर नहीं बल्कि शिवलिंग था जिसमें भगवान शिव मौजूद थे। बनिया उस स्थान पर एक मंदिर बनाना चाहता था, लेकिन उस जमीन के मालिक ने उसको साफ़ मना कर दिया। ज़मींदार ने ज़मीन से शिवलिंग को बाहर निकालने की कोशिश की, लेकिन उसकी हर कोशिश नाकाम रही। उसके दोनों बैल हार मान गए और जमीन पर गिर पड़े। साथ ही जमींदार का बेटा बिना किसी आकस्मिक कारण के अगले दिन अंधा हो गया। उसे अपनी गलती और गलत कदम का एहसास हुआ तो उसने भगवान (भोलेनाथ) से माफी मांगी। उन्होंने बनिया को उस स्थान पर मंदिर बनाने की अनुमति दी। तब बनिया ने निर्माण शुरू किया और एक छोटा मंदिर बनाया। बनिया और उनकी पत्नी हर सोमवार को शिव मंदिर गए और सच्चे मन से पूजा की। एक साल के बाद उन्हें एक बच्चा हुआ(अत्यंत तेच बुद्धि वाला)। वह भोलेनाथ के लिए पहला 'कावड़' लेकर आया। इसे देखकर कई लोग 'कावड़' लाने लगे, जिसके कारण यह मंदिर बाबा भोला के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हो गया। जो भी यहां पूरे मन से पूजा करता है, उसकी सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं। शिवरात्रि के अवसर पर हर साल दो बार यहां मेला लगता है। शिवरात्रि पर हजारों लोग पूजा के लिए यहां आते हैं। आप भी इस मंदिर में एक बार जरूर जाएं और इसके अंदर की सुंदरता को देखें। यह मंदिर भगवान के अस्तित्व का विश्वास कराता है।
