Levi Sap Nei Thang

Levi Sap Nei Thang (Burmese: လီဗီစပ်နိုင်ထန်း) is a Burmese humanitarian[1] compassion missionary and entrepreneur[2] who was born and raised in Myanmar. She is the founder and director of the organization I Love Myanmar.[3]

Exposition

Levi represented Myanmar at Expo 2016 in Antalya, Turkey. She represented Myanmar and designed the Myanmar Pavilion at Taichung World Flora Exposition 2018 in Taichung, Taiwan.[4][5]

She is representing Myanmar at Expo 2023 Kahramanmaraş in Turkey. She signed contract with Mayor Hanefi Machcicek of Onikişubat City Kahramamanras.[6]

Donation

Levi donated the memorial monument to mark the centennial of Sim Chin tribe's revolution against the British Army.[7]

Levi donated US$500,000 to the areas affected by flood in Kalemyo the valley where her private property was affected. She sold her property to Kanbawza Bank for her donation in 2015. She donated US$200,000 to the Yangon Children’s Hospital in 2009 for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and renovated. This ICU is the first ICU with full equipment in Myanmar.[8]

She donated 286 houses for storm survivors in Daukkyi and Thechaung, Bogale the southern part of Myanmar. The donation was accepted by Brig-Gen Kyaw Myint, the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement of Myanmar.[9]

Bible Software

Levi launched the Myanmar Bible Software in 2006 which includes 16 Bibles of the ethnic Languages in Myanmar. The software project was started in 2003 in the partnership with Myanmar Bible Society, the United Bible Society (UBS) and CrossWire Bible Society [10]

Personal life

Levi is a great-granddaughter of the Sim Chin family who first fought against the British Army for occupying their homeland Chin Territory which is situated in the west of Myanmar.[7]

Her daughter died in Rangoon civil hospital when she was helping Cyclone Nargis victims in 2008.[11]
