Campuses

Classes offered at Lahore Preschool (LPS) Gulberg range from Playgroup (age 2-2.5) to Preparatory (age 4.5-5.5). Given its proximity, graduates from Lahore Preschool are automatically transferred to the Aziz Avenue campus for continued studies in Class 1 (Aitchison Applicants in Preparatory) above. However, parents may submit transfer requests for children to begin junior school at another campus, provided seats are available. Upon parental request, LPS Gulberg also offers the preparatory program for applicants to the Convent of Jesus & Mary. Due to the selectivity of such a program, students are divided into sections of 10-12 students, and prepared for the admission test to Convent. The independent campus is built on approximately one acre of land in central Gulberg, Lahore. Facilities include; a purpose built children’s swimming pool, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and a baby gym for yoga and physical education. While uniform is not imposed at the Preschool level, parents are encouraged to follow a dress code that prioritizes comfort and ease of movement for the children. Jewelry, accessories and elaborate clothing that may prove hazardous or difficult to manage is not permitted.

School Structure and Houses

The Learning Alliance Student Body is served by the Student Council, a series of elected and selected representatives, who preside over various activities and events. At the head of the student body are the Head Boy and Head Girl, two senior students appointed by the School Board. Next in line is the General Secretary of the Student Council, an elected position given to a student of Class X or above, and the Treasurer, responsible for organizing and keeping track of the council’s budget for student affairs and events. Upon enrollment or promotion into senior school (Class VI above), each student is placed into one of four "houses": Sphinx, Pegasus, Titans and Griffin. At the head of each house is the House Master/Mistress, a teacher or staff member responsible for monitoring student conduct, organizing inter-house competitions, checking uniform and providing guidance and support to their students. Below the House Master are the House Captain and Vice-Captain, students of class X and above who are elected by the rest of the house members. House Captains work with the Master/Mistress to enforce discipline and lead the house through competitions. Throughout the year, the houses compete in both academic and athletic competitions to earn "house points". At the end of the year, during the annual ‘Proclamation Day’ event, a winner is announced. House points are earned during specific organized events during each term.

Societies

Clubs and Societies are usually founded and operated by students, who receive a budget from the student council and raise funds at events. Each society has a president, an elected position reserved for a senior student and a Patron of the society, usually a teacher or staff member responsible for organizing society events, guiding students through policy and accompanying them to external club related competitions and activities.
