Lav Agarwal

Lav Agarwal (born 19 February 1972) is an Indian bureaucrat and engineer.[1] He is an IAS officer in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, serving as a joint secretary. Agarwal leads the Indian government's daily media briefings on the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.[2] Before his appointment to the Health Ministry in 2016, Agarwal served in various state governments.[3]. He is regarded as the face of Centre's fight against COVID-19.[4][5][6][7] On 14th August, 2020, he tested positive for COVID-19.[8][9][10][11]
