Powers was born in 1961 and has achieved an exceptional career in health, fitness, modeling and body building. As the founder of the Lauren Powers Classic, a highly recognized bodybuilding and fitness competition in Southern California, she designed her namesake competition to be open for people of all ages and in all categories regardless of their experience level. She has appeared on numerous television programs including MSNBC, HBO, Travel Channel, ABC, TLC, Hallmark, WE Channel, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, E! True Hollywood Story, Lady Gaga's Telephone music video and others. She has also been in multiple films and internet productions. Powers competed in amateur bodybuilding contests from 2001 until 2014.
She graduated valedictorian from Huntington Beach High School.[1] She owned and operated a surfing academy on Maui while in college.[2] Powers graduated from the University of Hawaii with a business degree.[2]
