Laura van den Berg

Laura van den Berg is an American award-winning book writer.[1] Her two collections of short stories were both put on the shortlist for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award in 2010 and 2014. The first collection, published in 2009, is What the World Will Look Like When All the Water Leaves Us, and the second collection, published in 2013, is The Isle of Youth.[2][3]

Biography

Laura van den Berg was raised in Florida. She has a BA from Rollins College ('05) and an M.F.A. from Emerson College. Her stories have been published in Conjunctions, American Short Fiction, Ploughshares, Glimmer Train and One Story.

Personal life

Van den Berg lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband, Paul Yoon.[4][5]
