Las Cienegas Stakes
The Las Cienegas Stakes is a race for Thoroughbred horses run each year at Santa Anita Park. It is open to fillies and mares, age four and up, willing to race five and a half furlongs on the turf.

A Grade III stakes since 1992, it has a current purse of $100,000. The Las Cienegas was run as a handicap until 2013 when it was switched to a regular stakes race[2] with allowance weight conditions.[1]
The race has been raced at a variety of distances over the years:[2]

- about 6 1⁄2 furlongs on the downhill turf course – 1991 to 2019
- switched to 6 1⁄2 furlongs on the dirt due to weather conditions in 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2019
- 6 1⁄2 furlongs on turf – 1974 to 1990
- switched to 6 1⁄2 furlongs on the dirt due to weather conditions in 1979, 1982, 1983, 1986
