Although Laguna Lake is officially classified as a vernal pool, it retains some water year round.[3] The 200-acre lake is 0.5 miles (1 km) wide and 2 miles (3 km) long, straddling the Sonoma-Marin county line in northern California, United States.[1] It is the source of Chileno Creek which flows 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west to Walker Creek.[4]
