Function

Sm-like proteins were identified in a variety of organisms based on sequence homology with the Sm protein family (see SNRPD2). Sm-like proteins contain the Sm sequence motif, which consists of 2 regions separated by a linker of variable length that folds as a loop. The Sm-like proteins are thought to form a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are important for pre-mRNA splicing.[7]

gollark: Okay, the osmarks.tk server cluster™ has power and internet connectivity again. It may not come up properly because my configuration is awful. Please report any issues.
gollark: To be honest it would make sense to add a "server offline" indicator somewhere.
gollark: I mean, I'm happy that it works properly, at least.
gollark: That's the local caching at work. The server is definitely off.
gollark: Unfortunately there is a power failure occurring due to storms here, so osmarks.tk is down.
