LKPS Lublin

LKPS Lublin, officially known as LUK Politechnika Lublin for sponsorship reasons is a Polish professional men's volleyball team based in Lublin, founded in 2013. The club currently plays in the 1st Polish Volleyball League.

Team history

The foundation of the club took place on 26 August 2013 in the city of Lublin as a sports association under the name LKPS Lublin. Lublin began its history in the 3rd Polish Volleyball League playing there from the club foundation in 2013 until 2015.[1]

From 2015 to 2019 Lublin was playing in the 2nd Polish Volleyball League. In 2019 the team coached by Maciej Kołodziejczyk achieved second place in the 2nd Polish Volleyball League and was promoted to the 1st Polish Volleyball League for the first time in the club's history.[2][3]

During the 2019/2020 season acting as LUK Politechnika Lublin the team achieved third place in its first season in the upper league interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and managed to reach the 2nd round of the Polish Cup.[4][5]
