Cydantidae

Cydantidae or Kydantidai (Ancient Greek: Κυδαντίδαι) was a deme in ancient Attica, originally of the phyle of Aegeis, after 224/3 BCE of the phyle of Ptolemais, sending one or two delegates to the Athenian Boule.[1]

This deme, along with that of Ionidae, venerated the kolokratai; these two demoi were the only ones, as far as we know, to venerate deities together.[2]

Its site is located near Mendeli Monastery.[3][4]

gollark: It just has slightly bizarre metadata (creation date *after* modification date?) and was apparently made in paint.net.
gollark: I've looked at the image, and it doesn't seem to do anything special if viewed. I initially thought it was an animated PNG or something, but it shows as a normal PNG to everything.
gollark: And I'm using the browser version of Discord, in Firefox, as always, sooo...
gollark: What's Nobody's image meant to do anyway? I noticed it when looking at this channel now, and it just says "open in your browser".
gollark: I copy-pasted it all from Stack Overflow. That totally counts.
