Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi


Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi (born 12 April 1962) is a Ghanaian politician. He is a member of parliament for Asante-Akim Central constituency in the Ashanti Region, a position he has held since 2009. He holds a Master of Law and represents the New Patriotic Party.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Anyimadu-Antwi attended KNUST and had his BSc in Land Economy. He earned a certificate in Project Planning and Management at GIMPA, and an MBA at the University of Ghana, Legon. He had Barrister in Law at the Ghana School of Law. He also had his Diploma in MGh IS from the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.[5]

Early Life

Anyimadu-Antwi was born on 12 April 1962. He hails from Patriensa in the Ashanti region.[6]

Career

He is an Educationist by profession.[7] He worked at the Land Valuation Division as an assistance valuer from 1989 to 1991. He was then employed as the Estate Officer to assist the manager at the State Insurance Company Of Ghana but now the chief executive officer at real estate (private consultant).[5]

Politics

He is a member of the New Patriotic Party. He was the member of parliament for Asante-Akim Central constituency in the Ashanti region of Ghana.[8][9] He was voted into office after defeating his opposition in the 2016 general elections, winning with 75.90% of the total votes cast.

Personal Life

He is married with four children. He is a Christian and a member of the Presbyterian church.[10]
