Kokusai himitsu keisatsu: shirei dai hachigo (国際秘密警察 指令第8号, International Secret Police: Interpol Code 8) also know as Interpol Code 8, is a 1963 Japanese spy-comedy film directed by Toshio Sugie. It was the first installment of the "Kokusai himitsu keisatsu" series, a parody of James Bond-style spy movies.

Plot

In Saigon, South Vietnam, government construction investigator Quyen was assassinated by two men. Many claims that it was the Viet Cong involvement, but others stated to the Homitsu Bussan Company, which Quyen corporate it before his death. At the cafe in Paris, ISP agent Jiro Kitami is given orders to investigate a German-American merchant named Rudolph Kent, who had set up a black market trade to the VC group. In Japan, businessman Akimoto of the Toyo Bussan Corp. is carrying a tape recording contains conversation between Kent’s men and NVA officers, was kidnapped by three thugs at the Haneda Airport after his return from Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Kitami (disguised as a smuggler) arrived at Yokohama harbor to find evidence about Kent’s involvement around his office. At that time, Toyoko Co.Ltd decided to sent Akimoto’s colleague, Natsuo Ezaki, to Saigon and find out what happened. However, he was captured by Saeko, a fashion model that Kent send her.

The gang plan is to steal the code book that Ezaki is carrying to the US embassy. This book contains many locations of sending cargos filed with weapons to the South Vietnamese military. But the codes was already used by Ezaki before he was kidnapped, so the crew tried to escort him to the city port by taking him on a transport ship. This ship was originally ordered by Akimoto and he tried to escape, but was killed by Kent’s sailors. Kitami and Ezaki worked together to find the code book and destroyed the cargo ship.

They successfully bring the codes back to the embassy. But the Kent Gang, who survived the wreckage, returned to Tokyo and brought out a confidential documents by sweetly saying to Akimoto’s girlfriend Mie. Kitami rescued her after located his hideout at Tokyo Bay. Before he can confronted him, Kent kill himself with a pistol rather than being taken alive. After destroying the ammunition warehouse, Kitami decided to keep calm and waited to call as he leaves Japan to France, where the International Secret Police headquarters are set up.
