Koby Lion

Yaakov "Koby" Lion (Hebrew: יעקב "קובי" ליאון) is an Israeli paracyclist.

Career

After becoming permanently injured in Lebanon while serving in the Israel Defence Forces, Lion focused on his hand cycling abilities.[1] He competed for Team Israel at the 2010 European Handcycling Federation road race, where he won a bronze medal.[2] The following year, Lion placed second at the UCI Paracycling Road World Championships.[3]

At the 2012 Summer Paralympics, Lion completed the men's individual H1 time trial in 18:45.21 minutes, and his second race in 17:41.65 minutes, finishing with a silver medal.[4] Later, he won a silver medal at the 2015 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup with a time of 26:31.65.[5] In 2016, Lion competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, but finished in sixth place with a time of 36:50.45 minutes.[6]

gollark: I've finished rewriting my project in Rust (using warp - it was a very simple project, and I started yesterday using rocket, which I decided I didn't like), and it works nicely, yay! The new version is a lot faster and should actually work well on my phone.
gollark: Specifically, music file metadata parsing (I'm using an old binding to `taglib` for that).
gollark: Libraries for the specific random stuff I need are already scarce in Rust. I don't want to use what's probably a less supported language.
gollark: What are good Rust web frameworks these days? I'm rewriting my project in Rust (the backend part is only 50 lines, so it should be easy) but don't really know the current state of things.
gollark: They're completely different except that the name is mildly similar
