College career

Gryboski pitched for Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.[1][2]

Professional career

Gryboski was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 16th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball draft.[3][4]

Gryboski, a right-handed pitcher, was acquired by the Atlanta Braves in January 2002 and traded to the Texas Rangers in July 2005 for minor league pitcher Matt Lorenzo.[5] Gryboski was known as "Groundball" Gryboski while playing with the Braves; this came from his ability to get batters to ground into double plays.

He was once suspended by the Texas Rangers for "inappropriate actions".

Personal life

Along with pitching with the Wilkes Colonels, Kevin also helps every year with the Wilkes baseball clinic for 6-12 year olds, where he teaches them the fundamentals of pitching. Gryboski is married to Leah and they have two children: KJ and Kaylee.

gollark: It isn't a good language for applications development because it's wildly unsafe and makes things annoyingly hard.
gollark: In my IMO opinion, you shouldn't learn C unless you're doing embedded/overly low level stuff.
gollark: You can quite easily (ab)use SQLite as a key value database though.
gollark: LevelDB or RocksDB have less.
gollark: It is very fast but has quirkiness.
