Kent Logsdon

Kent D. Logsdon is an American career Foreign Service Officer (a member of the Senior Foreign Service), is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Energy Resources since October 1, 2018. He came to that position after serving as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Germany, serving as Chargé d’Affaires from January 2017 to May 2018.[1] Logsdon was the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources in Washington, DC before he went to Berlin.[2]

A Sewickley, Pennsylvania native, Logsdon has a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame.[1]
