Katsuragaoka Chashi
The site of Katsuragaoka Chashi (桂ヶ岡砦跡, Katsuragaoka chashi ato) in Abashiri, Hokkaidō, Japan, is that once occupied by the Ainu fortified chashi of Katsuragaoka. Occupying an elevated site overlooking the Sea of Okhotsk, the natural changes in elevation of the two mounds upon the plateau have been added to by the excavation of moats. The site is also known as Charanke Chashi (チャランケ(談判)チャシ). It has been designated a national Historic Site.[1][2][3]
