Kathleen Brandenburg is an American design strategist. She is the co-founder of IA Collaborative, where she serves as the Chief Design Strategy Officer.

Education

Kathleen Brandenburg graduated from the IIT Institute of Design with her master's degree in 1998.[1]

Design career

Brandenburg and Dan Kraemer co-founded the design and business consultancy IA Collaborative in 2000,[2][3] where she serves as Chief Design Strategy Officer.[1][4][5][6] Brandenburg has developed projects for clients including United Airlines,[3] Audi, AirBnB,[7] Gatorade, and Nike, companies that developed new products based upon her design research into the users of their products,[8] using immersive research to determine what design changes could improve existing products or lead to new ones.[9][10] Brandenburg has served as a Visiting Professor at the Harvard University TH Chan School of Public Health.[11] She also worked in graphic design and interaction design.[12] Fast Company has named Brandenburg to their "50 Most Influential Designers in America" list[2] in 2011.[13]
