Kasidakari

Kasidakari is the Punjabi and Hindi name for needlework.[1] It is also known as Kashidakari (Persian). This art is practiced in many regions in India like Punjab, Kashmir, Bihar and Karnataka. In Karnataka, it is referred to as 'kasuti'. Generally, kasidakari[2] is passed as an art form from mother to her child. In current context, it refers to thread-work embroidery or embellishment on fabric.
