Karrar Ibrahim Hashim

Karrar Ibrahim (Arabic: كرار إبراهيم, 19 September 1994 – 9 July 2020) was an Iraqi footballer who played for Al-Talaba in the Iraqi Premier League.[1][2][3][4] as a goalkeeper.

Club career

Karrar started playing at Al-Minaa Club Academy. In 2009 he played with the first team in the Iraqi Premier League and continued until 2017 and then moved to the Naft Al-Junoob for one season, after which he returned to play for Al-Minaa in 2018 season. In 2019 he was dispensed with by coach Valeriu Tița and he moved to the ranks of the Al-Talaba club.[5][6]

International career

He represented Iraq at the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship.[7] He was a reserve for the Iraq squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics.[8]

Death

Karrar was found dead in his car on a street in Baghdad on 10 July 2020 after having a heart attack.[9][10]
