Biography

Kaj Leo Kristensen was born in Vraaby 7 November 1917 to land owner Ole Ferdinand Kristensen and wife Marie Elisabeth Kristensen and baptized in Vraaby church the first Sunday after Epiphany.[1]

On 26 February 1945 Kristensen and six other members of Holger Danske were arrested by the Gestapo in Skindergade 44, Copenhagen.[3]

On 17 March the same year Kristensen and the six others were executed in Ryvangen.[2][3]

After his death

On 19 May 1945 Kristensen's remains were exhumed at Ryvangen.[2]

On 21 Juli 1945 a memorial service was held for him in Elijah's Church.[2]

On 29 August 1945 Kristensen and 105 other victims of the occupation were given a state funeral in the memorial park founded at the execution and burial site in Ryvangen where his remains had been recovered. Bishop Hans Fuglsang-Damgaard led the service with participation from the royal family, the government and representatives of the resistance movement.[2][4]

A memorial stone marks the place of his arrest.[3]

gollark: You didn't have time? Isn't this quite a long challenge thing?
gollark: Also the fact that most stuff, even if it uses DC internally (most things probably do), runs off mains AC and has some sort of built-in/shipped-with-it power supply, and there aren't really common standards for high-powered lower-voltage DC connectors around. Except USB-C, I guess? That goes to 100W.
gollark: I guess it depends on exactly what you do, and the resistance of the wires.
gollark: Which is as far as I know more an issue of low voltages than DC itself, but DC means you can't change the voltage very easily.
gollark: There is the problem that low-voltage DC loses power more quickly over longer distances.
