Julie Nelson (footballer)

Julie Nelson (born 4 June 1985) is an association football defender from Northern Ireland who plays for Crusaders Newtownabbey Strikers.[1] She represents Northern Ireland on the Northern Ireland women's national football team. She previously played for Durham Women's F.C.,[2] Glasgow City F.C., Everton L.F.C., and Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja.[1]

Nelson made her international debut during the 2004 Algarve Cup.[3] Later on, she made her 100th appearance for Northern Ireland in September 2018, becoming the first player to reach that landmark.[4][5][6]
