Julie Condra

Julie Michele Condra (born 1 December 1970) is an American model and actress that starred in several film and television series. She is mostly known for her roles in the television show The Wonder Years and in the first series for New World Television Santa Barbara, where she was nominated for the Young Artist Award, in the category of Best Young actress in 1990.[1]

Early life and career

She is the daughter of Priscilla Condra. She lived in San Antonio, Texas during her early years. She started a modelling career at the age of nine and appeared in television commercials in San Antonio. At 14 years old, she was crowned Miss Texas Teen. She continued to model and appear various commercials and catalog in her early teens until at the age 16, where she would move to LA to purse her dreams for acting. She debuted her acting career in 1987, where she portrayed the role of Susie from the series Who's the Boss. Her first breakthrough started from 1990 in the series The Wonder Years in which she portrayed her role as Madeline Adam. In the same year, Condra was also nominated for Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young actress for her role in the soap opera Santa Barbara. She would also have roles in the films Road to Redemption (2001)[2] and Mixed Blessings (1995) as well as crime drama series such Diagnosis Murder and Viper.[3][4]

In 1991, she appeared in the Circus of the Stars, an annual television special broadcast by the CBS network which featured many leading movie and television stars.

In 1999, she starred as one of the main cast in an Italian comedy film Screw Loose (released as Svitati in Italy).

Personal life

She married actor Brandon Douglas in 1992 but divorced in 1995. She later married martial artist actor Mark Dacascos,[5] who starred with her in Crying Freeman (1995). They have three children: two sons and a daughter.[6]
