José Welison da Silva (born 11 March 1995), known as Zé Welison, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Atlético Mineiro.

Career
Born in São Pedro, Rio Grande do Norte, Zé Welison started his career at Vitória's youth ranks. There, he won the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 in 2012. He was promoted to the senior team in early 2014, appearing in that year's Campeonato Baiano and being elected as the best newcomer of the tournament.[1] Also in 2014, he was part of the Brazil under-20 side that won the 2014 Panda Cup in China.[2][3]
On 28 June 2018, Zé Welison joined Atlético Mineiro on loan for the remainder of the season.[4] On 7 January 2019, he transferred to the club on a permanent basis, signing a five-year contract.[5]
