gollark: You should obviously join my IRC network, which has ~no drama and about 4 users.
gollark: Broadly speaking, to the best of my knowledge: TVs accept commands from remotes as modulated infrared somehow. The basic modulation stuff is fairly consistent, but not all TVs support the same set of commands. So universal remote things can work by recording the data another remote sends when you press a particular button, saving it, and replaying it when you press a button on it.
gollark: I see. Anyway, I'm personally busy for the next few days, but I can give pointers or something if you are to do it yourself.
gollark: Also, if you want to have it import text files you will probably either want serverside code or some sort of compilation step.
gollark: Are there not automated quiz creator things of some kind?
