John Taylor (bishop of Glasgow and Galloway)
John Mitchell Taylor (born 23 May 1931) was Bishop of Glasgow and Galloway from 1991 to 1996.[1]

Biography
He was born on 23 May 1931; m 1959, Edna Elizabeth and educated at Banff Academy and Aberdeen University[2] and ordained after a period of study at Edinburgh Theological College in 1956.[3] He was Assistant Curate at St Margaret, Aberdeen and then Rector of (successively) Holy Cross, Glasgow, St Ninian, in the same city and St John the Evangelist, Dumfries, his final appointment before elevation to the Episcopate.[4]
