John Selby Spence (bishop)

John Selby Spence (May 19, 1909 – March 7, 1973) was the Roman Catholic titular bishop of Aggersel and auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Selby was ordained to the priesthood on December 5, 1933 for the Baltimore archdiocese. He joined the Washington archdiocese when it split from Baltimore. On March 17, 1964, Selby was appointed bishop (auxiliary of Washington) and was consecrated on May 19, 1964.[1]
