John Pickersgill Rodger
Sir John Pickersgill Rodger KCMG (12 February 1851 – 19 September 1910) was a British colonial administrator.

Education and career
Rodger was educated at Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford. He was called to the English Bar in 1877. He was the British resident of Selangor (1884–1888) and (1896–1902), the first British Resident of Pahang (1888–1896), and British Governor of the Gold Coast 3 March 1904 – 19 September 1910.
Honour
Rodger was appointed CMG in 1899 and knighted KCMG in 1904.
Cricket
Rodger was a cricketer who played one first-class match for Kent County Cricket Club in 1870.[1] He played club cricket for a variety of sides, including the Gentlemen of Kent. His brother, William Rodger, also played for Kent.[2]
