John Donaldson McCallum

The Very Rev John Donaldson McCallum DD was a 20th-century Scottish minister who served as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 1926.[1]

Life

Larkhall parish church

He is thought to have been born in Glasgow, possibly the son of Rev A K McCallum of 327 Duke Street, who was governor of a boys reformatory school.[2]

He studied divinity at Glasgow University graduating MA in 1881 and BD in 1884.[3]

He was minister of Larkhall from at least 1896 to 1926.[4]

He is buried in Larkhall Cemetery.

Family

He was married to Mary Gordon Donald (d.1954).
