John Butler (director)
John Butler (born 4 July 1972[1]) is an Irish IFTA award-nominated[2] film director, screenwriter and novelist.[3][4] His work includes television sketch show Your Bad Self, and movies George,[5] Spaceman Three,[5] The Stag[6][7][8][9][10][11] and Handsome Devil.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20]

Life and career
Butler was born in Dublin, Ireland. He attended Blackrock College, an all-boys Catholic school in Dublin.[21] He then went to University of California, Davis, obtaining a bachelor degree in English Greek and Roman, and a master's degree in Film Studies.[22]
