Joe Tippett

Joe Tippett (born March 1, 1982) is an American actor.[1][2] He played Sam Strickland in NBC's American drama series Rise.[1]

Career

In 2017, Tippett played the leading man in All the Fine Boys.[3]

In 2019, Tippett filmed the TV movie Patsy & Loretta, playing the role of Doolittle Lynn, Loretta Lynn's husband. The TV film was broadcast on the Lifetime channel on October 19, 2019.[4][5][6]

Tippett was cast as Lucius King in NBC's Prism which is inspired by Rashomon, a 1950 Japanese psychological thriller directed by Akira Kurosawa.[7]

Personal life

Tippet has been dating the pop singer Sara Bareilles since 2017. The two met when Tippet was starring in the Broadway musical Waitress. Bareilles wrote the music for the musical.[8]
