Life and career

Born and raised in Collegeville, PA, Carfagno attended Penn State in State College, PA, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology in 1998.

Carfagno interned with The Weather Channel while still attending Penn State and joined the network as a full-time forecaster shortly after she graduated. She participated in The Weather Channel on-camera meteorologist apprentice program, earning time in front of the camera every weekend. Jen enjoys speaking to students about her passion - science. You can also find her running, relaxing at the beach or working in the yard. Her favorite weather measurement is dewpoints and is often referred to as the "Dewpoint Diva."[1]

On November 12, 2013, she, alongside Alex Wallace, introduced all-new "Weather All the Time" graphics for The Weather Channel at 4:00am on Weather Center Live (they stayed on the air until 5:30am). From 2013 to 2016, this team anchored Weather Center Live on Thursday-Friday early mornings and weekend mornings.

As of April 20, 2018, at 1:11am ET, Jen's Twitter page shows that she has 993,000 followers (this number is rapidly going up). The page also shows an activity level of around 21,300 Tweets.[2]
