Jamie Chestney

Jamie Chestney (born 15 November 1986) is an English male international lawn and indoor bowler.[1]

Bowls career

Chestney is a twice national champion winning two National Championship titles in 2004 and 2009.[2]

His first major international medal came in 2012 when he gained a bronze medal at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in the pairs competition with Graham Shadwell.[3] Tow years later he competed for England in the men's fours at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal.[4]

He finished runner-up in the 2016 International Open and the following year won the Cooperative Funeralcare International Open.

In 2018 he won the World Indoor Open Pairs title with Mark Dawes [5] and then won the Mixed Pairs title the following day with Lesley Doig.[6]

In 2018 he was also selected as part of the English team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland[7] where he claimed a bronze medal in the Fours with David Bolt, Louis Ridout and Sam Tolchard.[8][9]

He bowls for Kings BC, who have won the Top Club championship four years running from 2016-2019.[10]

Personal life

In 2015 he married fellow bowls international Natalie Melmore.[11]
